This is a picture of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. As you can see, the sorting hat is isolated between 2 lights that are reflecting upwards. This backwards light effect creates a creepy and eerie sort of feeling while also casting a shadow on the sorting hat's face. I was thinking about how significant light is in this instance. If the whole room was lit, or even if these lights were facing downward and not upwards, the whole atmosphere or world of Harry Potter is lost.
