I love the use of up light since the first time I saw it used. I describe this composition as creepy Christmas, It works very will and your eye goes to the back of the image because of the hard focus on the background. I also like the front reddish light. There isn't much visibility so this seems like possibly a transition. The actors in back lit in white look angelic. I like this cue a lot.
