gloomy
While I was in Chicago, I also snapped this photo when I was driving to the airport. It was a gloomy and cold day kind of raining, but I still thought it was beautiful because of how nature authentically creates mood with its lighting. I chose this photo because of the tone and mood it makes me feel when I look at it. The lack of color and light in this photo is a perfect example of how lighting designers try to eliminate sharp lighting to illustrate gloomy and cool moods and tones. The lighting here made me feel sluggish and tired and it was cool to realize that lighting really does affect your mood throughout the day.
